Application services were provided to develop and implement a system that would allow retail clients to do banking over the Internet. User requirements were gathered and defined, the architecture for the solution was designed, and the program specifications were prepared, programmed, and thoroughly tested. After the implementation, ongoing support was put into action. Another Philippine-based bank acquired the services of FPI through the development and enhancement of a multi-tier, browser-based, thin client/ server environment that automates front-end processing. It was a solution designed to integrate with the existing host applications and provide easy migration from the old platform to the web-based one. This created a gateway through which customers utilize banking services with the utmost convenience. This makes processing of banking information more efficient and error-free. Furthermore, transactions were made quicker to better accommodate the growing number of customers. Another banking company- one of the largest banks in the Philippines- decided to add a service to cater to the needs of its clients overseas who wish to transfer funds through remittances. The result was a flexible and reusable framework. The Fujitsu Group of Companies provided requirement gathering services, system analysis and design, programming, testing and debugging.

Mobile Banking Mobile banking has become an emergent method of convenient multi-channel banking, and one of the largest ATM consortiums in the Philippines has integrated it into their expanding range of services. The company was tapped to implement the payment system, using the client’s existing ATM/POS switch and network security infrastructure. Through multiple service channels such as this, more avenues for client interaction are opened. Increased client interaction generally means increased revenues and promotional opportunities. Financial Industry In the financial industry, WeServ has similarly undergone numerous projects of varying natures, creating solutions and adding value to various financial services. With WeServ’s Platform Migration core service, a multinational financial services company was able to move their product suite to an open-source architecture, applying JAVA browser-based technology. Because of this, the client multinational company was able to reduce its costs, and now enjoys a faster development advantage. A leading US-based insurance company has also benefited from WeServ’s services- their insurance policy templates were migrated to DocuCorp. By doing so, insurance policy throughput has become faster; and the time, error rate and labor costs required to generate policies have been reduced. Another US-based insurance company had components of their existing system removed and replaced to enable direct linking to the database without having to pass through middleware. The client also enjoyed benefits of simplified coding and eliminating the maintenance cost of the license.
A multi-national financial services company based in Hong Kong had their banking application migrated from a client-based server to a Java/J2EE platform.
